Hello,

Has anyone rebuilt their power steering cylinder.

16515146169894974956141851207692.jpg

I believe my own is leaking out at the head #9
Coming out at #8+#5 , perhaps o ring #6+7 are gone.

Anyone shed some light of replacing these or a possible old thread on this ?

Thanks

Here are some images.

Is there two variations of cylinder ?

From those photos is it possible to say which version of cylinder I have ?

Yes. 2 major versions to be exact and a few minor versions of these 2 major versions

Has anyone rebuilt their power steering cylinder.
Yes - I, since 3 years many times many such steering cylinders.... ;)
I believe my own is leaking out at the head #9
No - at this point it comes out, but its leaking at other place. Often at the litle AL-ring or at the rubber ring pos. 29.
But if you open it, you have to reset it again... otherwise it won't work again.

Is this porcess detailed on your 5011 rebuild or perhaps somewhere else?

Yes I thought that alright. Are specialised tools required to reseal the cylinder.

Is the "reset" process a difficult job ?

Thanks

Can you tell which I have from photos and which parts diagram that relates to ?

Any photos on this forum of the process ?

Reset ? Difficult to do ?

Thanks again.

Take a look at your parts book pictures, its the Jihostroj version - if older or younger I can only say when I see it unmount from the tractor.

At the workshop book from Zetor but not completly and at this time not here at the forum, as I havn't enough time to wrote such a ressource entry.

Yes, but no complicated and easy to made them byself.
When you made it first time it needs some houres when you made it right. Demont, cleaning, look for problems, mount back, reset them, mount back at the tractor, let the air out at oil, kalibrate the power steering cylinder new ... And always think at one thing - safty first, powersteering will be relevant for your and other peopels safety. :)

Jihostroj (simply check the picture and than your cylinder) ;)

The other one:

And from both versions it gives newer and older ones with realy only little changes. The working principies are allways the same.

Sure - please use the forum search... I think so. Again I dont have at the moment the time to write a HowTo for this. But I think about to make a Video next time as a HowTo for both versions... Think that will be a project for the summer with more time for. :denk

No, when you do the job accurate and have a little bit finger feeling - its no big problem.

Ok I will examine the parts book. Could you detail a couple of the differences as to a novice, it is not so clear . Just don't want to be working from the wrong picture or ordering wrong parts :bibber

Its not to hard - take a look at the parts book, the pictures and the parts numbers - you can then find all the differences betwen both power steering cylinders.

The biggest difference will be this parts:

(Jihostroj type) = your type as I wrote you ;)

and the other one:
1651737329998.png

... not your type

but... its not so interesting for you as I tell you above what type of cylinder you have. Or? :denk
